At Purina New Zealand, we’ve welcomed pets into our offices since 2001. We’ve also carried out a research with other companies who’ve experienced the benefits of bringing people and pets together in the workplace. All this experience and research has given us real insight into the great things pets can offer companies and their employees.
Our research
In 2021 we conducted research* with a thousand pet lovers across New Zealand which revealed Kiwis are happier employees with pets around.
- 96% of New Zealand pet owner respondents felt that having a pet around while working from home improved their mental health
- 95% of respondents said pets made them a happier employee
- 71% of respondents said it helped reduce their stress levels
- 48% of respondents stated pets helped them get outside more with 43% taking more breaks.
